Project Overview
"Before our intervention, women and children in this Lamjung village spent up to 4 hours daily fetching water from distant, contaminated sources, leading to high rates of waterborne diseases."
The Intervention
Choice Nepal implemented a gravity-fed water system with 35 communal taps, reaching every household. We also conducted comprehensive hygiene and sanitation (WASH) workshops.
Sustained Impact
With 24/7 access to clean water, waterborne illnesses have dropped by 95%. Children’s school attendance has improved, and women have gained hours of productive time for other activities.
